Mohamed Elsayed Mohamed El-Shenawy Gomaa or simply known as  Mohamed  El Shenawy is an Egyptian football player who plays as a goalkeeper for Eygpt national team and Egyptian professional football club, Al Ahly. He has played for Egyptian football clubs such as Al Ahly, Tala’ea EI Gaish, Haras EI Hodood and Petro jet.

The Egyptian goalkeeper made his full international debut in 2018 and is expected to take part in 2018 FIFA World Cup for Eygpt in Russia.

He was interested in playing football since his early childhood days and started his playing career with infamous Egyptian football club, Al Ahly in their youth team where he played until 2009.

After playing for the junior team of AI Ahly, he joined the main of Al Ahly in 2008 and playing after only a handful of matches, he left the club for the fellow Egyptian football club, Tala’ea EI Gaish.

He made 43 appearances for the club before quitting the team in 2013. El Shenawy was also transferred to fellow Egyptian football club, Haras EI Hodood as part of a loan deal from Tala’ea El Gaish for 2012/2013 season.

The Egyptian goalkeeper later was transferred to another Egyptian football club, Petrojet in 2013 and played 85 matches for Petrojet during his time with the Egyptian club.

Currently, he is playing for Egyptian football club, AI Ahly with whom he signed in 2016.

He has represented Eygpt U 20 team that played at the 2007 African Youth Championship. El Shenawy was initially called up in 2013.
